Marvel has released the initial teaser for Liam Hemsworth-starrer Thor: Ragnarok.
Things don’t seem to be boding well for the Asgardian as his trusty hammer (Mjolnir) is shattered, his trademark locks are cut, Asgard seems like it’s under serious threat and he ends up having to duel with his self-proclaimed friend The Incredible Hulk aka Dr Bruce Banner on what appears to be some form of foreign world.
Not all downers though, looks like there will be plenty to laugh at from Thor in this one once again with his trademark comic one-liners.
Liam Crosbie Thoughts:
A quick run down of the plot via Marvel Entertainment “Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok, the destruction of his home world and the end of Asgardian civilisation, at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela.”
If you are up to date with the ever expanding MCU then you may know that Thanos – the biggest villain that all the MCU must fight in the Avengers: Infinity War parts 1&2 – is literally in love with Death. Another name for Hela is Lady Death so it could be that Hela will team up with Thanos in the future Avengers movies. As for this trailer we can see she is powerful enough to stop and crush Thor’s hammer with one hand. The biggest part of this trailer though has to be the Hulk showing up on an alien planet in a gladiatorial arena fighting Thor, this has been taken from another popular Hulk comic book story called Planet Hulk so fans will be pleased at this addition as the Hulk has not had the best screen treatment so far. Thor: Ragnarok is in cinemas October 27th with several more trailer to come before then.
